Configure a custom email sending domain
Add and verify a custom email sending domain in Bridge, choose sender details and notification categories, test delivery, and activate it.
Configure a custom sending domain
Workspace owners can add and verify a custom sending domain, choose which Bridge emails use it, test delivery, and activate sending from the configured address.
Custom sending domains are included in the Business plan. If the feature is unavailable for your workspace, Bridge shows See plans. Keep an existing DMARC policy unchanged. If no DMARC record exists, Bridge may recommend adding a TXT record.
Open Domains
Open Domains
Open Domains
Go to Account settings. Under Workspace, select Domains.
Domains is available to workspace owners.
Add your domain
Add your sending domain
Under Domain for sending emails, enter the domain you want to use and select Continue.
We recommend using a subdomain such as notifications.yourcompany.com so your main domain's email setup remains unchanged.
Add the DNS records
Add the DNS records
Add the DNS records shown at the provider that manages your domain, such as Cloudflare, GoDaddy, or Namecheap.
Each record's Type, Name, Value, and Status is visible. Priority appears when applicable. Use the copy controls to copy the displayed values.
Record statuses include Found, Not found, and Waiting. DNS changes usually appear within minutes, but can take up to 72 hours. Select Check now to check the records again while verification is incomplete.
Set the default sender
Set the default sender
Under Set default sender, enter the sender details:
- Name is required.
- Address is required. The address uses the configured sending domain.
- Replies go to is optional.
Choose email categories
Choose email categories
Select the email categories that should use your custom domain:
- Booking confirmations
- Booking reminders
- Rescheduling and cancellations
- Meet Now notifications
- Meeting recaps
You can also enable Send from Bridge if the domain stops working. This fallback applies when a DNS record goes missing. It does not describe other delivery or domain failures.
Send a test and turn on the domain
Send a test and turn on the domain
Testing becomes available after the domain is verified. Enter a recipient address, or use the signed-in account email that is pre-filled, and select Send test.
Send the test before turning the domain on. After the test is sent, activate the domain. When the domain is active, you'll see Sending and the selected emails use the configured sender address.
Check the domain status
You may see the following domain states:
- Checking DNS: Bridge is checking the DNS records.
- Verified: The required records are verified.
- Partly verified: Some records are not verified yet.
- Not verified: The records were not found within 72 hours. Check that the records match exactly, then select Check now.
- Record missing: A record that was previously found is no longer present.
If a domain enters Record missing, the fallback setting determines whether selected emails continue from Bridge or stop sending from the custom domain.
Turn off or remove the domain
To stop sending from the custom domain, select Turn off in Domains settings.
Removing a domain requires confirmation. The confirmation states that emails return to being sent from Bridge. After removal, you may delete the DNS records from your domain provider.
