Agents
Agents are AI teammates with their own instructions and tools. They are not the Assistant — you mention them with @ inside chat.
An agent is a named teammate: a handle you can @mention, instructions you write, and tools you turn on (web search, connectors, hearing on native or in-person calls, and more).
The Assistant is the chat window. The agent is who you hand a turn to.
Where agents appear
- Agents section in the sidebar — click one to start a chat seeded with that agent
- View All or Account settings → Agents — manage the full list
- New → Create agent
Until you create a custom agent, the sidebar may show a short built-in set. After you create one, your custom agents take the lead.
